About these terms
These terms apply when you book tutoring with Brainhub® Tutoring, a trading name of Brainhub Education Limited (company number 17485827). By booking an assessment or lessons, you agree to them. Please read them alongside your booking confirmation, which sets out your price, lesson pattern and notice periods.
Free assessment
Your first assessment is free and there’s no obligation to book lessons afterwards.
Booking and payment
- We confirm the price, tutor and lesson pattern in writing before your first paid lesson.
- Lessons are pay as you go. You pay for lessons in advance, as set out in your booking confirmation.
- You can stop at any time, with no minimum commitment. Lessons you have already paid for are non-refundable.
- If a payment is late, we may pause lessons until it’s settled.
Rescheduling and cancelling
Life happens, especially around mocks and fixtures. Please let your tutor (or us) know as soon as you can if you need to move a lesson.
If a lesson your child doesn’t attend is not rearranged in time, a 50% cancellation fee may apply, at your tutor’s discretion. We know emergencies happen, for families and tutors alike, and we’re always understanding about genuine one-off emergencies. The fee is about respecting your tutor’s time, not about generating fees. If lessons are missed repeatedly, we may check in with you directly.
If your tutor needs to cancel, we’ll rearrange the lesson or offer a suitable replacement tutor at no extra cost.
Tutors
We match each student with a tutor based on subject, exam boardThe organisation that sets and marks the exam, such as AQA, Edexcel or OCR. Each has its own syllabus., level and availability. If the match isn’t right, tell us and we’ll find another tutor.
Online and in-person lessons
- Online lessons take place live on Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams (whichever suits you), with a shared Miro whiteboard. Please make sure the student has a quiet space, a working device and a stable connection.
- For in-person lessons at home, a parent or responsible adult must be present in the home.
- Our safeguarding policy applies to every lesson.
Results
Every student is different, and no tutor can guarantee a grade. What we do promise is a qualified tutor, a written plan and regular updates on progress.
Our responsibility to you
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer or our liability where the law doesn’t allow it to be limited.
