Refer a friend

Know a family who’d like a hand? You both get a free lesson.

When a family you recommend starts lessons with Brainhub, their first lesson is free, and so is your next one. No forms to fill in and no codes to remember: they just give us your name.

How it works

Four steps, two free lessons

Nothing to sign up for. We only need your friend to tell us who sent them.

Your invite

Make your invite link

Type your name the way your friend knows you. We put it in a link to our booking form, so the form already says who sent them.

For example, Sarah Khan. Nothing you type here is sent to us. It only goes into your link.

Prefer not to send a link? That’s fine. Your friend can choose Friend or family under “How did you hear about us?” on our booking form and type your name.

The rules

  • Who can refer: any family having lessons with Brainhub, online or in person.
  • Who counts as a new family: a family that has never had a lesson with us. They need to give your name when they get in touch, or at the latest before their first paid lesson.
  • Their reward: their first one-hour lesson after the free assessment is free.
  • Your reward: a free one-hour lesson, added to your account once they’ve had three paid lessons.
  • How many: up to three free lessons a year from referrals for each family.
  • Using free lessons: at your usual subject and level, online or in person as normal, within three months. They can’t be swapped for money.
  • Reviews are separate: we never reward reviews. We ask every family for an honest review, whatever they think.
  • Changes: we may change or end the scheme. Any free lesson already earned will still be given.

These rules are part of our terms of service.

Questions about refer a friend

  • Do you contact my friend?

No. We never ask you for your friend’s details. They get in touch with us when they’re ready, and you just share your link or your name.

  • Does my friend have to sign up to anything?

No. There’s no contract and no joining fee. They start with a free assessment, and if they decide to go ahead, their first lesson after it is free.

  • How long is the free lesson?

One hour, at the usual subject and level, online or in person. Free lessons need to be used within three months.

  • Can I refer more than one family?

Yes. Each family can earn up to three free lessons a year from referrals. If you send us more families than that, thank you: we’ll look after them just the same.

  • My friend has already been in touch. Does it still count?

Yes, as long as they haven’t had a paid lesson yet. Ask them to tell us your name before their first paid lesson.

  • What if my friend lives outside London?

That’s fine. Our online lessons work anywhere in the UK, and the free lessons work the same way.

  • Is this a reward for reviews?

No. Reviews are separate and are never rewarded. We ask every family for an honest review, whatever they think.
