The reading and writing underneath

The LNAT needs no law knowledge, but it rewards close reading and a clear argument. Our guides for the A-Levels many law applicants take show the papers and grade boundaries.

How we teach

LNAT lessons built around the real test

  • Section A reading

Pulling apart arguments in short passages: what is claimed, what is assumed and what follows.

  • Timing under pressure

About two minutes a question, so we practise pacing until it feels automatic.

  • The essay

Planning fast, taking a clear position and answering the other side, with feedback on timed essays.

  • A plan to your deadline

A week-by-week plan that works back from your university’s LNAT deadline.
